Brooklyn + Ethan // Greenville SC Autumn Engagement Session

October 10, 2017

I haven’t done nearly as many blog posts this year as I wanted to, and I’ll try to catch up on those before weddings get rolling again in January…but this one I just couldn’t leave unposted.

I met Brooklyn and Ethan last year at Ethan’s sister, Katyn’s wedding.  I noticed then that they were completely adorable and secretly hoped that when the time came, I’d get to photograph their wedding. So when I got the call from Brooklyn that Ethan had popped the question, I couldn’t WAIT to meet with her! She mentioned that she’d love to do fall engagement photos, since they’re getting married in May.  Because October was already pretty booked when she signed her contract, I promised her we’d try to squeeze them in somewhere, and hope that the leaves would still be around.  When the only date that worked out for both of us ended up being in November, I know I was a little disappointed, because I wanted to make her happy…and because the leaves are almost never bright and beautiful that late.  But Mother Nature had other plans…thankfully! We decided months ago on a location and hoped for the best.  And Y’ALL.  The leaves yesterday were STUNNING.  I’ve seen a lot of leaf color (being from Western NC) and yesterday was some of the BEST I’ve ever seen.  It made pretty much the perfect backdrop for one of the sweetest autumn engagement sessions that I’ve ever had the privilege to shoot.

Check out their photos, leave them some love, and stay tuned for what I KNOW will be a GORGEOUS May wedding!
