I had never met Katyn when she called to book me for her wedding. But her excitement was contagious. After just 2 short conversations, I was convinced that her wedding would be one of my favorites. I wasn’t wrong. She, along with the help of her sweet mama and one of the BEST venue coordinators around, Nicole Wade of Sawyer Family Farmstead, thought of every detail. The wildfires that were ravaging western NC blocked a bit of the sun, and made for some very hazy mountaintops, but that didn’t prevent Katyn and Jeffrey from having one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever seen.
The verse above from 1st Corinthians is a popular wedding verse, but Katyn and Jeffrey made it more than a detail. They live it. They incorporate it into their every day lives. They chose to make parts of the verse into aisle decorations, and I’ve never met a couple that it was more fitting for. Katyn sobbed the whole way down the aisle, but they weren’t tears of sadness. She told me it was because she was SO happy to get to marry Jeffrey!
